As well as those who are immunocompromised, less than 5% of Australians eligible for the COVID-19 booster shot in the winter will be able to receive the fourth dose when it launches next week. While about 4.7 million people can get the fourth dose of the vaccine. But health officials say, subject to consideration by the Australian Senate, fewer than 200,000 people will be eligible when it launches.
